Regular bed
It’s quite strange to sleep in a regular bed again. Although regular? Even at home, I don’t have such a bed. Two meters wide, with a thick top layer that you sink into completely. Very nice for a night, especially with all that space. But to be honest, my sleeping comfort on my luxurious, extra thick, yet lightweight sleeping mat in my tent or shelter really isn’t any less.
Technical Problem Issues
The day is entirely about solving technical problems. Apps that won’t cooperate, disruptions, settings… it seems like everything has decided to be difficult at once. In hindsight, it actually works out well since without good internet and sufficient power, this would have been much harder. As if it was meant to be.
My Keyboard Is Also Giving Up
As if that weren’t enough, my foldable keyboard is also giving up. That’s where I write almost everything, so without it, I’m pretty lost. In Asker, I can’t find a new one anywhere. Tomorrow I’ll just take the train to nearby Sandvika; I should be able to find one there.
Time-Consuming Task
The most important thing is that I manage to get my next routes well onto my phone. I now know how I want to continue, but nowhere can I find complete GPX files of the entire route. So I’m downloading all the stages one by one. A time-consuming task, but safety first.
One More Day in Asker
That’s why I’ve decided to stay in my room for one more day. This way, I can get through the day: organizing everything, taking some naps, and walking around Asker.
Clear Plans
The plans are now clear. Tomorrow, I will take the train to Moss. That way, I skip Oslo; I’ve already been there extensively two years ago, and to be honest, I need more peace than a big city right now. From Norway’s Moss, I will walk to Strömstad in Sweden to continue my journey over the Bohusleden towards Gothenburg.
On to the Next Adventure.
