The struggle

At the right moment in the right place

Exactly at the right moment, I find myself in precisely the right place. As is often the case, the solution comes naturally. This shelter has everything: space, drinking water, a toilet, waste bins, a beautiful view, and even electricity. I’ve never had that before, and now it’s a blessing because I really need electricity. After this, there’s a section of the route where I won’t find a supermarket for days, and probably no outlets to charge my power banks either. Moreover, it rains all day. Therefore, I decide to stay here for one more night.

New route

I am studying which route I could take after this ‘Skåneleden Kust till kust’ and hoped to quickly go to the supermarket and the center of Osby between the showers. That doesn’t work out; a downpour catches me.

Art or kitsch?

I don’t do much more than that. Osby is not particularly special, but it is a small town with unique ‘art’: a huge hare and a chimpanzee with a bunch of bananas. I couldn’t uncover the story behind it. I prefer the bronze statue of three musicians, but of course, taste is subjective. There’s not much else to see, except that Osby is beautifully situated by the large Osbysjön, Lake Osby.

I’m doing nothing again

Yesterday I thought I would use this day to write – I’m quite behind on my daily reports – and to read. I have unlimited power, so I should take advantage of it. However, I end up doing none of that. I waste my time scrolling aimlessly. For hours… It takes a lot of effort not to judge myself – and of course, I do that anyway – that I ruin another day, at least in my feeling. But I had said that I shouldn’t…

It remains a struggle.
