Maybe it’s time for something different

Silence at the table

Together with the two Danes from the hammocks, I have a peaceful start. We are sitting at the large picnic table, three of us. I write, they read. Coffee is made in turns. We actually don’t have much to discuss. Coffee drinkers among themselves. We quickly agree on the pleasure of the brown gold at dawn.

Indeterminate feeling

The weather has become less pleasant. At the table, I even have to put on my wind jacket because it’s quite chilly sitting there with the strong wind. It stays like this all day, although the sun occasionally peeks through cautiously. I have an indeterminate feeling and can’t quite pin it down. Duh. Logical. That is an indeterminate feeling.

In love with Sweden, but still…

There’s not much happening today, just a nice collection of cottages in the village of Hårsjö and a meeting with a small deer that stares at me for minutes, frozen in place. It’s actually more of the same again. Suddenly, I wonder if I might be ready for something different. No matter how much I love Sweden, a different environment and vibe would also be quite nice. I don’t have to go anywhere, and I don’t have to make any decisions. I have all the freedom. So, I’ll see what the coming days bring. For now, I’ll stay here as long as the weather stays pleasant.

At the charger in the supermarket

In Vittsjö, I do my shopping. At a small table in the supermarket, I sit for 1.5 hours next to a power outlet. Now that my solar panels are not working, I have to take advantage of these kinds of moments. It’s a shame, but it is what it is. I’m frustrated that I’m losing a bit of my independence. Normally, with a bit of sun, I could charge my phone every day. Now, I’m dependent on power outlets.

Early record

3.5 kilometers after the supermarket, there is a beautiful camping spot in a nature reserve. I’ve only walked eleven kilometers. Should I stay or keep going a bit further? I choose to stay. The place is lovely, and I don’t really have the desire to walk any further. By five o’clock, my little tent is already set up. I think that’s an early record for me, because usually I arrive just before dark.

Rest

I cook, fiddle around a bit, take a small walk through the nature reserve after dinner, and crawl into my tent early. Although I hardly did anything today, I’m tired. Maybe that’s exactly what I need. Rest.

Overnight: Ubbalts
